When Lilly Fresacher and her husband Christoph took over Haus Jausern in 2021 from her parents, they knew they wanted to maintain and integrate its foundation, values as well as the good vibes in a harmonious manner while they renovated and expanded the hotel to accommodate 31 rooms in Saalbach in Austria.  The new individual “free rooms” combine quality and a laid-back air, impressive architecture with a feel-good factor and boast plenty of space to kick back and relax. The rooms’ design is minimalistic, also considering the importance of sustainability. The design, however, doesn’t mirror the wellspring of love the hostess has for her guests and beautiful things. A product designer by trade, she loves being creative and is an art enthusiast, something she inherited from her mother Christa. Indeed, the mother – who is a passionate painter and has her own atelier – and daughter duo have painted most of the paintings you’ll find peppering the hotel. Lilly, a mother of two, is engaged in empowering women – she offers them flexible working spaces and works together with women-led companies. Lilly’s family support encouraged her to pursue her endeavour. That’s how she finds time for projects such as a creative workshop for guests or the next edition of the MEtreats.
