our team

With dedication
and passion

Different people coming together through their individual talents and skills is what makes a good team. Experience and a suitcase full of degrees aren’t the only requirements – indeed, at times an interesting background and a love for what one does can be just as valuable. With a cumulative 50 years’ experience under one roof, we can tap into our common expertise to make things work. We’re as different as they come but we all share one thing – we love what we do. Girasole has been an industry benchmark since 2012. And we’re proud to say that many of our partners have been with us since our inception. Of course, everything works so well due to the high bar and expectations we set. Clarity is key, lest we lose sight of what matters – and that applies to our clients as well as to the entire team. Communication thrives on personal connections and hands-on experiences, which is why passione and emozioni – passion and emotions – guide us. Hence our conscious decision to not expand more than we already have and ensure that our staff, clients, and media network are always a perfect match.

Martina Frühe

Martina Frühe

When Martina founded Girasole in 2012, she envisioned a small boutique agency. She’d worked for tourism behemoths with an eye for international strategies, travelled around the world for hotel chains such as the Four Seasons and Kempinski – in other words, she knew all there was to know about quality, experience, and knowledge in this industry. She wanted her Girasole to have the same level of aspirations but with a smaller team which could deliver personal, tailored and sustainable relations as well as supporting select hotels, people, and regions. Girasole’s portfolio features locations where Martina herself would spend her holidays. The agency and the tasks grew organically thanks to her passion and joy for the themes, and Martina is grateful for a job which allows her to invest her time and efforts in topics which are near and dear to her heart. She’s an endless bundle of energy, a mix of intellectual calm and physical energy – she’s always on the move and open to novelty – be it in the shape of people, ideas or ways of working. Martina loves the hustle and bustle of agency life and likes to be out and about among people like editorial teams or her clients in the tourism industry.

Stefanie Stadler

Stefanie Stadler

Steffi is your go-to person when it comes to exclusive hideaways, the best wellbeing hotels or charming, family-run spots. After 20 years under her belt working in the tourism PR sector with numerous renowned clients, she knows what makes a location good. From outstanding service through breathtaking views to haute cuisine – Steffi has her finger on the pulse when it comes to travel, gastro, and design trends. And, while she doesn’t take her work back home with her, she’s a passionate foodie during her time off, and tests new cafes and restaurants in Munich and its surroundings, and always has infallible good tips for secret, culinary hotspots. Girasole without Steffi? We simply wouldn’t know what to do, and not only because she’s been part of the team from the very get-go but also because she has an overview over everything thanks to her killer organisational skills and unsatiable curiosity. Her love for her job has only grown over time. Her biggest professional reward? When she stumbles upon her clients’ stories in the press.

Susanne Knobloch

Susanne Knobloch

Susanne is always ready to listen to her colleagues and clients. She truly cares about these personal exchanges, and it makes her an outstanding Team Leader and a networker at heart. She’s known among magazines’ editorial teams as well as in the content creator crowd. Susanne has an innate talent for sniffing out good stories and weave them into a mesmerising and addictive tapestry everyone wants to follow. She finds the right tone of voice and style for each channel. The best thing about her job? Those moments when she spots her clients and their stories in renowned media, be it paper, online or even on social media. Even during her downtime, she finds inspiration on social media for travels and amazing holiday destinations, and she’ll explore and plan adventures for whenever she gets a break from work at the agency.

Barbara Schicker

Barbara Schicker

Barbara is an expert in everything communication. You’ll find her copyediting in the office to produce the best possible texts or on-site, pursuing exciting stories and interesting people. She truly embodies our mission to be ambassadors of locations and people, for she believes in the power of direct connections, personal exchanges, and a solid network. She’s in our clients’ corner, and in more than one language, to boot! She was born in the Upper Palatinate, in Bavaria but lived for a period of her life in Italy, so she’s fluent in the language of Dante, loves good food and her (worst-kept) secret is she wants to be able to eat a whole wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese! She still hasn’t made it but, who knows, maybe one day. A diva of the Dolce Vita! Nature and Barbara are inseparable, and she spends her weekends canoeing on the Chiem Lake, hiking in the mountains, or cycling away in the Alpine Foreland.

Miriam Wulf

Miriam Wulf

Miriam embodies opposite cultural traditions, yet she strikes a balance between the Yin of her northern heritage, all relaxed and laid-back vibes, and the Yang of her love for southern temperaments, namely Italy. She studied Italian and her goal is to visit every Italian region. And if you wonder why she fell under the spell of Munich, well, that’s mainly because of Bavaria’s mountains and the somewhat ironic – but not by much – reputation Munich has as being the northernmost city of the Bel Paese. Miriam is a people person and a keen observer, which is why she’s aware that a culture, an ambience, and people can only be truly understood when you get close and personal with them. She loves meeting clients to develop new ideas and strategies, and she feeds her experiences and insights into texts when at Girasole, which sweep both journalists and influencers off their feet. Miriam is also passionate about passing on her knowledge, which is why she’s in charge of teaching and overseeing our interns.

Caroline Mohra

Caroline Mohra

Caroline was brought up in her family’s traditional Tyrolean guesthouse – her passion for hospitality, open spirit and love for people and stories came to her from an early age, Caroline, who’s made the world her home, still fondly remembers where she’s from. She travels around the world for Girasole but also does it during her leisure time, especially in the mountains and never misses an opportunity to visit Italy. She studied Italian and English, so communication is never an issue, and she’s always receptive to hearing genuine and good stories. One of her strengths is her positivity, which allows her to think outside the box without losing her cool.

Anna Homeister

Anna Homeister

An epicurean at heart, Anna is insatiably curious and can pursue two of her biggest passions at Girasole – travel and food. A committed networker and social media enthusiast, she’s aways up to speed on trends and the general Zeitgeist and knows exactly when and how to match her clients with the right partners. An incurable optimist, her enthusiasm is contagious, and her ideas are always crowd-pleasers. Anna loves being surrounded by people and as a “feel good” manager, she’s found her vocation at the agency and stokes the team spirit with her positive outlook on life. Her favourite meetings? On-site talks with clients, where she quickly understands their vision and develops ideas and stories. Even during her downtime, you won’t find Anna at home – she loves to travel, be it on the road in a camper or in a hotel, the world truly is her oyster. And if for some reason she isn’t travelling, then she’s hitting the spinning classes in a gym or whiling the hours away on long, leisurely walks – mostly with her dog.

Ramona Herget

Ramona Herget

If Ramona could win a prize, then it would be as pro holiday-goer – and as such she knows that unique places are often the result of unique people. Their stories truly shape the ambience of a place. Fuelled by this insight, she dives headfirst into every sort of topic with an open and inquisitive mind, and brings stories about people and concepts to life across different media. Her enthusiasm is infectious. She shines when she’s surrounded by other people, and she’s constantly on the lookout for new ideas and approaches – which is why it’s hardly surprising to see she’s turned her passion into her job with us at Girasole. Her Bavarian roots are strong, and she feels at home both here as well as all over the world. It doesn’t matter where she’s at, be it hiking from hut to hut savouring local delicacies or at the other end of the world on some mad adventure – what she cares about is for experiences to be genuine.

Laura Nöß

Laura Nöß

Laura found herself becoming part of the Girasole team after already having worked on the field. After studying hotel, tourism and gastronomy management, she had an important role in the private hotel industry for a year and a half. She’s aware of how much passion, love and hard work go into feeding excellent ideas and genuine hospitality. She may have switched her role by joining Girasole, but she hasn’t switched sides. Laura loves good hotels and their stories and is happy she can share them with others. Her creative ideas, her enthusiasm, and her curiosity about everything new stand her in good stead. Many of the beautiful things she encounters in her daily work are also part of Laura's private interests: she loves travelling, good food and design but also keeping active and the great outdoors, experienced while skiing, mountain biking, and hiking. She loves being out and about in the mountains –especially in her home region, the Allgäu.
