Relais Roncolo 1888
In the most breathtaking location, the Wine & Balsamic Relais Roncolo 1888 nestles in the lower slopes of the Apennine Mountains, on an estate situated between Parma and Reggio Emilia in Quattro Castella. 130 hectares of organic agriculture and viticulture, gardens, lovingly-restored historical buildings and a cypress-lined pool make this boutique hotel the perfect destination for those with an affinity for nature, aesthetics and pleasure seeking relaxation. The elegant rooms and suites are places of retreat designed with style and luxury. They are housed within the Villa Manodori, and in two further restored buildings from the 17th century. Unfussy elegance, natural materials and meticulously-arranged furniture characterise the rooms in Villa Manodori and effectively show off historic frescoes, ceiling beams and fine parquet floors. In the Dimora Ancini and Dimora Acetaia rooms, original wooden beams and floors and magnificent Italian tiles create a delightful contrast to the comfortable beds and luxury baths. The rooms open up with a view of either the hilly landscape or the picturesque patio and enclosed garden. It was only last year that the restoration of the property was completed, after Julia and Giuseppe Prestia acquired the estate in 2015.
